Little League meeting today

The Saipan Little League board is reminding all its members to attend today’s meeting at 5pm at the pavilion beside the Gilbert C. Ada Gymnasium.

The election of the new board members will be the main topic for discussion, as the outgoing officers want to have a new set of administrators that will plan the Saipan Little League’s 2016 season.

SLLBI officials are trying to hold an election for a new set of board members, who will then vote among themselves to fill the seven positions—president, vice president, secretary, treasurer, chief statistician, player agent, and safety officer.

One must be present to be elected and become a member of the Saipan Little League board.

The new president will then preside on all board meetings to plan the 2016 Saipan Little League season.

The SLLBI election was cancelled three times—twice due to lack of members and the other because of Tropical Storm Champi.

SLLBI president Ben Jones wants the election to finally push through to give the incoming board a longer time to plan the upcoming Saipan Little League season. Jones suggested to members to bring individuals interested in the program so the group can have a quorum and hold the elections.

For more information, call incumbent SLLBI vice president Annie Flores at 285-1219 or Piding Tenorio at 285-1024.
