The Filipino-American Lions Club handed out meals to students of the Nuestra Senora Bithen Delos Remedios Parish in Tanapag as part of its many programs last Saturday, Nov. 24.

The Saipan Fil-American Lions Club fed the Confraternity Christian Doctrine students of Nuestra Senora Bithen Delos Remedios Parish after their classes as part of the Lions Clubs International Relieving the Hunger program.

According to Lions Club International Region 2 chair and club president Annamae Adaza, the feeding program came at a perfect time as most people don’t have time to cook.

“As Lions, giving back to the community is our main thing. When there’s a need, there’s a Lion and, as stated in our motto: ‘We Serve,’” she said.

The feeding program was headed by Adaza but was initiated by club service coordinator Ernie Molina and Confraternity Catholic Doctrine teacher Julie Cunanan.

“It is always our pleasure to assist or volunteer our time, if needed,” said Adaza.
