Lions Clubs donate brochures to anti-cancer group
The Lions Clubs International, District 204 Region 2 turned over some brochures from the Lions Clubs Health Fair to the Commonwealth Cancer Association, which participated in the medical mission held on Jan. 11, 2015, at the Daidai Social Hall.

The turnover was headed by Region 2 chair Lion Ladyvir Canape, with CCA program manager Juan L. Babauta accepting the donations.
Canape was joined at the turnover by Region 2 PRO Lion Annamae Adaza, Lion Prexy Nenita Marquez of Saipan Fil-Am Lions Club, Lion Lucy Buensalido, Lion Argie Buensalido, Lion Adrialen Dela Cruz of Saipan Unity Lions Club, Lion Olive Yana, Lion Florenda Miranda, and Lion president Nelida Atalig of Saipan Marianas Lions Club.
The CCA’s mission is to advocate for a cancer-free CNMI through public education and awareness about cancer prevention and screening, and to provide support to cancer patients, survivors and their families through community partnerships and programs.
The brochures were donated by Guam Harmony Lions Club, represented by 2nd Vice District Governor Lion Linda Tolan at the health fair.
“CCA can use the brochures in their awareness programs about cancer, healthy living, high blood pressure, diabetes, and proper diet, among others,” said Adaza.
The LCI-D204 Region 2 Lions Clubs is composed of the Saipan Fil-American Lions Club, Saipan Marianas Lions Club, Saipan Unity Lions Club, Tinian Marianas Lions Club and Rota Marianas Lions Club. “The Lions Club’s motto is ‘We Serve.’ That’s why the Lions members are here to assist the community. In our own little way, we can always make a difference if we work together for the betterment of the community,” said Adaza. (PR)
