Liberation Day parade was a great success
Our leadership has proven to be persistent to hold the long awaited Liberation Day parade on July 18, 2005. It was something heroic. Those July 4 and July 11 rainy days have been at least good blessings for our people of the CNMI and the people were able to manifest our strong alliance to our traditions later on. People kept the preparations going, knowing that no matter how cloudy and rainy it might be, the sun is still going to show and add cheer to the celebrations. And it really got all shining when our man’amko people were marching. Among the dignitaries were our beautiful Queen Minerva Maghanoy and imposing King Diego Pua. They got lots of attention and cheers of recognition from the people along Beach Road. The Man’amko Royal Court and especially it’s the beautiful Queen looked so nice and dignified.
I offer my thanks to our mayor, Mr. David Apatang, and his office for the grandious work to put every parade detail into its place. That very nice, heavenly, all-white, and pure-looking tents must be mentioned as an effective and impressive invention. That nicely organized evening concert and its finale, which came as a cascade of colorful and charming fireworks, must also be commended. Good memories of these celebrations are going to be in our minds for a long, long time.
