The Business and Sports Management senior, who will graduate in spring 2016, said she would now be part of the coaching staff of head mentor Josh Koschke together with Rick Ewing and Matt Porter.
“I will be an assistant coach for our golf team and now pursue my career as a professional golfer while I finish my education in the spring,” added Kim, last season’s RMAC most valuable player and also joined teammate Julie Sanchez on the RMAC All-Tournament team.
Kim maxed out her playing years as RMAC and NCAA Division II counted her one-year of studying at Piedmont Virginia Community College in Charlottesville, Virginia, and red-shirting for CSU.
She suited up for CSU-Pueblo in 2013 and is considered to be one of the most successful female golfers in the school’s history after being named as RMAC Golfer of the Year three times
Juniors Natasha Navarro, who was also part of last year’s team that placed second behind Metro State University of Denver, and transferee Jacquelun Porman will try to lead a young but talented squad that also features three first year players.
Colorado natives Courtney Ewing and Tori Goodman, and Malaysian Jolene Kam were the new recruits of Koschke on the team.
Kim then thanked everyone that helped her in her career as a Lady ThunderWolf. “I’ve never been so blessed to be apart of the CUS-Pueblo family the past four years.”
“I’m thankful for the team and the coaching staff for being by my side through everything. It was quite the adventure and I am excited to see what the future has in store for me,” ended the 2015 CSU-Pueblo Female Athlete of the Year.
She also represented CSU-Pueblo in the NCAA Division II National Championships twice, doing it the first time in her rookie year with the Lady ThunderWolves in 2013.
