Should you legalize marijuana?
I think they should charge a big license fee.
I think they should set up separate application fees: one to grow and one to sell.
I think they should require that applicants must have a certification of a licensed Medicinal Doctrine’s Certification to sell.
I think they should have age eligibility requirements to grow and sell.
Only local residents can grow and sell. They can hire laborers but not buy from another farmer. They can be allowed to have a business partner, but must pay for another business license fee.
Both consumers and vendors must pay taxes.
Enforcement law should be very strict. Failure to comply will lose the license to sell, grow, and consume.
And can only be sold in areas designated by the licensing board. The board members should include five experts on medicinal and behavioral science and Agriculture Life Science, three consumers, three providers, and three from the government Agencies. A total of 14 board members. Fifty percent of the board must be local resident.
No import or export of product should be allowed. (LOL, I bet everyone is thinking of such.)
I think the members of the Legislature should do research and public education first before you legalize it. I still think it’s important for the safety of our tiny island.
Members of the Legislature should consider bringing in experts for public education and awareness of such product you’re going to legalize to produce and sell.
