Legal holidays in NMI in 2018

The Office of the Governor issued its list of 14 legal holidays that will be observed in 2018 in the Commonwealth, which means that schools and government offices are closed on those days.

“All department and activity heads must ensure that essential public services are not disrupted,” the notice added.

The holidays are the following:

• Jan. 1, New Year’s Day

• Jan. 15, Martin Luther King Jr. Day

• Feb. 19, President’s Day

• March 24, Commonwealth Covenant Day, to be observed on March 23

• March 30, Good Friday

• May 28, Memorial Day

• July 4, Independence Day

• Sept. 3, Labor Day

• Oct. 8, Commonwealth Cultural Day

• Nov. 4, Citizenship Day, to be observed Nov. 5

• Nov. 11, Veterans Day, to be observed Nov. 12

• Nov. 22, Thanksgiving Day

• Dec. 8, Constitution Day, to be observed Dec. 7

• Dec. 25, Christmas Day (PR)
