14TH PACIFIC REGION INVESTMENT CONFERENCE
Learn about diversifying a fixed income portfolio
Nov. 13-14 at the New World Hotel Makati, Manila
Diversifying your portfolio can go beyond investing in stocks. Learn how to diversify a fixed income portfolio with high yield bonds. High yield bonds tend to have higher yields than other parts of the fixed income market, so an allocation to high yield bonds may provide portfolio diversification benefits in addition to enhanced return opportunities.
This year at the 14th Annual Pacific Region Investment Conference this Nov. 13 and 14, 2014, at the New World Hotel Makati, Jason Stewart, CIMA will explore the various benefits of investing in this underutilized asset class. Rising interest rates are almost universally seen as playing a role in investment allocation decisions in the coming year. By shifting part of a fixed income portfolio to credit sensitive bonds and away from more interest rate sensitive bonds, investors can help dampen the volatility of the return stream of their overall fixed income portfolio.
Stewart is a regional director for Chartwell Investment Partners, an investment management firm focusing on institutional, sub-advisory, managed accounts and private client relationships.
