The Lady Diann Torres Foundation-Northern Marianas College and Triple J, which have separate teams in the 2016 Marianas March Against Cancer, are holding separate fundraising events with all proceeds going to this year’s MMAC set on May 13 and 14 at the Hopwood Junior High School grounds.

Team LDTF-NMC is selling commemorative “Believe in a Cure” T-shirts at $20 each. The T-shirts were first sold during the NMC Charter Day last week and was one of the popular items bought in their tent.

“The 2016 MMAC committee extends its sincere gratitude to team LDTF/NMC for their efforts in raising badly needed funds for the fight against cancer. We encourage the community to purchase these shirts while supplies last,” said 2016 MMAC overall chair Geralyn C. Dela Cruz.

Triple J, meanwhile, has four ways of raising funds that they would donate in this year’s MMAC.

They will donate $1 each for every iced tea purchased at their restaurants—Capricciosa and Tony Roma’s in Garapan, and Truong’s in Susupe—while a portion from their vehicle and care rental sales at Triple J Motors and Hertz, respectively, will be allotted to MMAC.

Triple J will also have its newest fundraising activity, selling Nathan’s Famous Hot Dogs at the Saipan Little League games inside the Oleai Sports Complex—Francisco M. “Tan Ko” Palacios and Miguel Basa “Tan Ge” Pangelinan ballfields—on April 30 with all proceeds going to MMAC.
