Laolao Bay Golf & Resort to host Hyatt charity tournament

Hyatt Regency Saipan will host its 23rd Annual Charity Golf Classic at Laolao Bay Golf & Resort’s west course this Saturday, April 27. That makes the Laolao Bay Golf & Resort a platinum sponsor for another year in a row.
The donation from LaoLao Bay Golf & Resort will aid this year’s beneficiaries: the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Guam and CNMI, 500 Sails, NMI Rollers Basketball Association, Isla Montessori School, and 4H Marianas.
Make-A-Wish grants wishes to children with life-threatening illnesses.
500 Sails seeks to revive traditional Chamorro and Carolinian proa (canoe) construction and sailing;
NMI Rollers Basketball Association promotes the sport of basketball among the CNMI youth.
Isla Montessori School seeks to blur the boundaries between the community and institutional schooling.
4H Marianas promotes agriculture, healthy living, environmental and outdoor learning, STEM, indigenous culture, and creative arts learning within the youth of the CNMI.

Laolao Bay Golf & Resort general manager Min Seok Chang said, “We look forward to an excellent turn out and wish all the golf players a wonderful and great game.”
He described the Laolao Bay Golf & Resort partnership with Hyatt Regency Saipan for the 23rd Annual Charity Golf Classic tournament as a “commitment.”
“We also believe in supporting the island community of Saipan to help sustain our economy,” he said.
Hyatt general manager Nick Nishikawa said the Laolao Bay Golf & Resort are partners in the tourism and travel industry. “We are very pleased to have the support of [Laolao Bay Golf & Resort] for our 23rd Annual Charity Golf Classic. Together we work toward a common goal of caring for our island community.”
Laolao Bay Golf & Resort, in partnership with Dae Woo Construction, is a multi-recreation facility with a 36-hole golf course that can be split into two more commonly known courses—east course and west course.
The east course consists of fairways with lush, green scenery.
The west course sits along the coastline of the South Pacific Ocean. (PR)
