La Hunn Lam is the top boys 16-and-under netter, while Hoo Wang is the No. 1 girls  16-and-under player, according to the Northern Mariana Islands Tennis Association.

Lam took the No. 1 ranking among the juniors by virtue of his win in the 2022 TanHoldings Tennis Classic last November. There were no entries for both the boys and girls 18-and-under.

The TanHoldings tourney title gave the youngest player to ever suit up in Wimbledon with 1,000 points. He also got 250 points for winning the doubles with Henry Choi that gave him 1,250 so far for the season.

Simon Tang is currently at No. 2 in the boys 16-and-under with his 700 points—600 for finishing second in the TanHoldings tourney behind Lam and another 100 points in doubles. Third place in the rankings is June Yu with his 650 points.

Wang, meanwhile, has 1,000 points to lord it over in the girls 16-and-under after winning the division in the aforementioned TanHoldings tourney.

Anne Lee is second in the age group with 750 points after finishing runner-up in the division, while closing out the Top 3 is Irin Chung with 600 points as she came in second runner-up in the same competition.

In the boys 14-and-under, Si Woo Lee has the pole position with 1,000 points followed by Ryan Choi and Yutaka Kadokura with 750 points and 600 points, respectively.

Anne Lee leads the girls 14-and-under with 1,000 points with Hannah Chae second with 750 points. Lina Tsukagoshi is third in the rankings with 600 points. Lee, Chae, and Tsukagoshi finished 1-2-3 in the TanHoldings tourney.

In the boys 12-and-under, Cody Park’s 1,000 points spearheads the division with Michael Jeon and Daniel second and third with 750 points and 600 points, respectively.

Stella Choi, meanwhile, is No. 1 in the girls 12-and-under with her 1,000 points. She is followed by Emma Lang with her 750 points with Vivian Chung third with her 600 points.

In the boys 10-and-under, Seungwoo Lee is ahead of the pack with 1,000 points with the Koning-Fong siblings—Cooper and Jackson—in hot pursuit with 750 points and 600 points, respectively.

The NMITA senior and junior rankings are used by the sports association to determine the players who will represent the CNMI in off-island competitions.
