Labor reinstates suspended sanction vs company

The Department of Labor’s Enforcement and Compliance Section ordered the reinstatement of suspended sanctions for China Yanbian Foreign Eco. and Tech Cooperation Corp. for failing to comply with an administrative order issued on June 17, 2016.

According to the administrative order, China Yanbian Foreign Eco. and Tech Cooperation must produce certain payroll records by June 20, 2016.

An order to show cause hearing was held on July 1 and at the conclusion of the hearing, hearing officer Jerry Cody imposed a sanction for failing to produce these documents.

The sanctions order which was issued on July 6 and Labor imposed a $2,000 fine and demanded the corporation to produce the remaining missing payroll documents no later than July 11, 2016. However, by July 28, no payroll documents were provided by China Yanbian Foreign Eco. and Tech Cooperation n.

As a result, Cody found good cause for China Yanbian Foreign Eco. and Tech Cooperation to pay the reinstated sanction of $1,000 no later than 30 days after the date of the issuance of the order.
