Labor Day softball tourney sign up resumes

Baseball manager Froilan M. Camacho is reminding interested individuals to start forming a team in time for this year’s Labor Day Softball Tournament, set at the Capital Hill ballfield from Sept. 4 to 6.

Camacho said teams should sign up early since the first 14 squads in the men’s and four in the women’s side will be accommodated.

Registration fee is $150 and teams are required to pay a 50 percent deposit to secure their slot. Aug. 14 is the final day of entry fee submission and there are no more refunds once the 50 percent deposit had been paid.

The weekend tournament will follow a double elimination round format where official rules of International Softball Federation and will be followed.

Trophy, cash, and other special prizes await the winning team.
