Monthly travel magazine Tour de Monde will feature the Marianas in its January 2018 issue, bringing an estimated $72,000 ad exposure for the islands.

Tour de Monde, known as the archetypal travel magazine among the traveling public in South Korea with 70,000 monthly circulations, sent its editor-in-chief and a photographer to the Marinas on Oct. 30-Nov. 5, 2017.

“Tour de Monde is considered an outstanding travel-specialized magazines,” said MVA managing director Christopher A. Concepcion. “The anticipated ad exposure is tremendous and will feature an in-depth look at food, indigenous culture, art, and leisure activities on Saipan, Tinian, and Rota, with a special highlight of the unique brews and island-style barbecue of our first Marianas Beer & BBQ Festival earlier this month.”

In addition to the 10-page magazine article, the Marianas will be featured on the magazine’s official website, Facebook page, and Naver blog.

Sites visited on Rota included Teteto Beach, Songsong Village Lookout, I’Chenchon Bird Sanctuary, Swimming Hotel, Wedding Cake Mountain, As Nieves Latte Stone Quarry, Senbon Yashi, and trolling.

Sites visited on Tinian included Taga Beach, Tachogna Beach, Blow Hole, Ushi Cross, Chulu Beach, Broadway, Long Beach, and House of Taga.

Sites visited on Saipan include Ladder Beach, Obyan Beach, Micro beach, Kalabera Cave, Banzai Cliff, Grotto, Bird Island Lookout, Mt. Tapochao, and a jungle tour.

The tour was supported by Fiesta Resort & Spa, Tinian Ocean View Hotel, and Rota Resort & Country Club. (MVA)
