Three Korean media outlets are publishing coverage of the Dec. 6 race, which drew 13 competitors from Korea this year, including six prize winners. Men’s Health magazine, Luel, and Bike Magazine all covered the event.
“There is the potential for more participation from Korea in the annual Hell of the Marianas, and supporting a FAM tour for Korean media during the event was a win-win situation,” said Marianas Visitors Authority marketing director Bruce Bateman. “In addition to spreading the word about the race, they will also feature other visitor attractions around island and share their photo rights with the MVA for promotional purposes.”
Accommodations were provided by Fiesta Resort & Spa, dinner was hosted by Hard Rock Café Saipan, and sponsorship for three racers associated with the group was donated by Hell of the Marianas.
While on Saipan the tour group also took an island tour of Banzai Cliff, Suicide Cliff, Bird Island Lookout, Last Command Post, beaches, and T Galleria. (MVA)
