Korean drama picks Marianas as awards destination

To celebrate its great ratings, the popular Korean TV drama Stove League has chosen to celebrate with a rewards vacation to the Marianas.

All cast and crew of the show will travel to Saipan on Feb. 17, 2020, for four days of vacation and off-season training. The first episode of the show aired on Dec. 19, 2019, scoring a 5.5% viewership rating. Ratings jumped to 16% for the show’s 13th episode on Feb. 1, 2020.

“We’re very excited that Stove League has chosen the Marianas as their destination to celebrate their unrivaled popularity and double-digit viewership rating in Korea,” said Marianas Visitors Authority managing director Priscilla M. Iakopo. “We look forward to welcoming them to our beautiful tropical islands for some well-earned rest and rejuvenation.”

Stove League deals with the winds of change as a floundering baseball team that even fans have given up on scouts for a new captain. The16-episode drama has quickly gained popularity for its signature story-telling and sophisticated details. (PR)
