Korean Association to host business forum Saturday
The Korean Association of Saipan will host a business forum this Saturday, Dec. 13, at the Saipan World Resort’s Lilac Room starting at 3pm. According to the association, about 50 to 60 businessmen and women from the community are expected to join but other members of the Korean community are invited as well.
There will be lectures from several businessmen and guest economist and attorney Park Moon Seo on business and the economy. Association president Kim Hong Kyun will also speak.
The goal of the event, according to the association, is to share information and prepare businesses for the CNMI’s economic development.
While the event is targeted to the Korean community, the association hopes it can provide a good example for other groups to host similar forums, as all of the island’s communities are needed for the CNMI’s economic development.
Also, about 90 members of the Korea Air Force will be arriving on Wednesday. Association officials and members plan to meet these service men with smiles, greetings, and signs at the Saipan International Airport at 4:30pm that day.
A welcome party is also planned at the Fiesta Resort and Spa later that evening at 6:30pm.
