Konfitma 2014

I am very supportive of our homeland security and our men and women in the armed forces and their contributions that protect our home and the sacrifice that they endure.

What I don’t understand is that our local enforcement agencies could have done a better job during Konfitma 2014, as I looked at the pictures of what could have been and the damage our community could have suffered. I also saw the damage and pollution caused by this exercise: the trees that were burned, ocean that was polluted with burned plastic, rubber, and chemicals that have no business being so close to our ocean, reefs, and environment. There is also public safety, with the civilians that were driving right next to the area of the exercise.

I understand that we need these exercises as we are surrounded with uncertainty not only in Asia but around the world but please let’s be more careful and cover all our ground.
