The Koblerville Youth Learning Center has received much needed support for grounds beautification, according to Youth Affairs Office special assistant Shelane Borja.
“She said that the Corporate Social Responsibility Team of Best Sunshine International, Ltd., led by Rita Chong has provided repainting services to the Koblerville Youth Learning Center and Koblerville basketball court, removed graffiti in the area, as well as bush cutting and the clearing of debris.
“The team spent time at the Koblerville Youth Learning Center last week as part of their island-wide beautification project. I really want to thank them for spending time in this community,” she said.
She said the CSR team is currently working on another village pride project in Susupe in order “to bring peace and togetherness”. Volunteer artist Luis Ogo and Roman Kaipat will complete the remaining beautification efforts.
Borja expressed that the youth center is vital to the enhancement of the community in that it provides a safe and clean area for the youth and their families to enjoy.
She shared that because not all youth centers can fully operate due to funding, the KYLC truly appreciates the help in maintaining the facilities.
Borja, who also works closely with the Commonwealth Advocates for Recovery Efforts or CARE, recognized the hard work of volunteers from United 4 Saipan, the CSR team, as well as the government agencies, the Mayor’s Office, and the many volunteers in their continued village debris removal campaigns.
