Manacop, who never won a monthly roll-off, was the 2014 King, while Camacho was the yearlong tournament’s Queen after topping the finals early this month. The winners were honored last week at Kanoa Resort’s Nami Bar.

The many-time CNMI national men’s team member overcame top seed Raymond Zapanta’s twice-to-beat edge to dethrone the 2013 champion. Manacop finished third after the 9-game roll-off and faced Raymond Angeles in the stepladder semifinals where he beat the former CNMI junior bowler, 182-163. In the finals, Manacop scored a 210-194 win in the first game to force a decider. He completed his title win with a 207-194 tally.

Manacop was awarded a trophy, $750 cash, and a case of Budweiser for his remarkable feat. Zapanta settled for the $375 runners-up prize, while Angeles went home with $230.

Ruselle Zapanta ($150), four-time monthly winner Robert Talavera ($100), Lito Teodoro ($90), Raul Dumapit ($80), Tony Verdaguer ($70), MJ Aldan ($60), and Bernard Paraiso ($50) completed the Top 10 finishers.

Rusty Musca, Edward Baluyan, Ariel Dumapit, Paul Pangelinan, Percy Omechelang—another four-time monthly winner—Ador Dimaano, Kim Jae Yong, Raphael Zapanta, Roger De Guzman, Ronald Batac, Edgar Abalos, Lee Yong Woon, and Ben C. Aizon were the other bowlers who qualified in the finals.

In the women’s side, it was a fitting end for Camacho after a dominating performance in the monthly Queen of the Lanes roll-offs. She won seven of the 12 monthly crowns to clinch the top seeding in the finale where she used her twice-to-beat edge against Yho Villavicencio to dispatch her opponent early in one game.

Camacho collected a trophy, $350 and a case of beer, while Villavicencio received $200. Third placer Gloria Omechelang went home with $140, while Janice Camacho and Elena Soll placed fourth and fifth to settle for $90 and $75, respectively. Tess Fabie, Carrie Camacho, Rosalinda I. Cal, Lala Taitano and Gigi Zapanta were the other keglers who competed in the Queen of the Lanes finals.

Camacho claimed her fourth overall Queen of the Lanes crown and first since 2012. Last year, she won the January, April, June, July, September, November, and December roll-offs. Kathy Mersai was the other multi-monthly roll-off winner, as she topped the February, March, and May tournaments.
