Kilili says KCHC will get, administer COVID-19 vaccines
The Kagman Community Health Center will be able to receive and administer COVID-19 vaccines, in addition to the vaccines already being sent to the Marianas each month, according to Delegate Gregorio Kilili C. Sablan (Ind-MP) in his e-kilili newsletter over the weekend.
This comes soon after the Health Resources and Services Administration announced last Tuesday that KCHC is one of 250 federally qualified health centers nationwide selected to participate in the Ensuring Equity in COVID-19 Vaccine Distribution program, Sablan said.
“That means more of us will be vaccinated more quickly,” said Sablan.
The doses provided, he said, will be separate from the vaccines already being allocated to the Marianas each month and should mean more people will be vaccinated more quickly.
Sablan said the man’amko (age 65 and above), homebound healthcare patients, and individuals working in high risk health care and first responder settings are currently eligible to receive a COVID-19 vaccine on all islands.
On Saipan, individuals who are 55 years and older and workers critical to the CNMI infrastructure across the public and private sector are also eligible.
