Kilili: No reason to be alarmed by video of woman’s threats to cops

Delegate Gregorio Kilili Sablan has assured that, at this time, there is no reason to be alarmed by a video circulating on social media that captured a woman’s call warning Guam and Saipan police about an alleged group coming to kill the police force and “take over” families.

Saipan Tribune tried yesterday to obtain comments from the Department of Public Safety’s information office, but there was no reply as of press time.

On his Facebook account, Sablan said a video of a telephone call discussing threats against police officers in Guam and the CNMI has gone viral.

Sablan said federal authorities have informed his office that while they have not found this call to be credible, they are aware of the call and are looking into its origin.

The delegate was referring to the video of a woman’s call to a Guam police precinct that the Guam Police Department confirmed was received last New Year’s Eve and classified as terroristic conduct.

The caller first identified herself as Victoria Tudela, but later changed it to Stephanie Doris Cruz.

“They’re American citizens trying to come on island to kill the police force and to take over our families. I’m going to call the international police for the islands of the Marianas Islands. And I am going to notify the FBI here in the United States and let everybody know,” the woman stated in the recording.
