(Contributed Photo) With All Souls Day fast approaching in November, Kagman High School JROTC cadets turned out en masse on Saturday, Sept. 17, 2011, to help clean up thousands of old candles, faded plastic wreaths, weeds, and trash that littered the entire cemetery plots at Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Despite the persistent rain, KHS JROTC had over 37 of its young citizens complete a community service request by the Mt. Carmel Diocese. Fr. Ryan Jimenez came out to thank Kagman High School cadets for their hard work.

MSG James R. Burke, KHS senior army instructor, said that this is a monumental task that will take a lot more than several Saturdays to get the cemetery ready for All Souls Day. The public is encouraged to join the cadets and help make the cemetery a beautiful place to visit loved one at their final resting place on All Souls Day in November.
