Kentucky Fried Chicken Saipan is finally serving the long-anticipated Chicken & Waffles meal this month and also rolled out other dishes in a promotion it dubs Flavor Madness.
Yole P. Aldan, KFC/Taco Bell Saipan manager, said Chicken & Waffles and the Cinnabon Dessert Biscuits are part of the franchise’s international promotion.
“Chicken and waffles” is an American dish that simply combines chicken and waffles. It satisfies craving for a salty and sweet dish. In KFC’s case, customers can order original recipe, extra crispy, or grilled for their chicken meal with the waffles drenched in Mrs. Butterworth’s syrup. They can also have their choice of the Chicken and Waffle Meal or the Chicken and Waffle Sandwich.
The fastfood giant’s Cinnabon Dessert Biscuit, meanwhile, is a KFC biscuit topped with Cinnabon cinnamon brown sugar glaze and cream cheese frosting. The dessert hits all the sugary and cinnamon notes of a regular Cinnabon roll and starts at an affordable $1.90 for two pieces.
Aside from the international rollouts, Aldan said KFC/Taco Bell is also promoting its Island Fried Rice and Grande Nacho Box meals.
The restaurant has always served Island Fried Rice and its KFC/Taco Bell Saipan’s twist in local fried rice, while the Grande Nachos Box features a super-sized layer of chips topped with a double serving of seasoned beef or shredded chicken, refried beans, nacho cheese sauce, reduced-fat sour cream, a three-cheese blend, pico de gallo, and guacamole.
Grande Nacho Box is designed to give customers more bang for their buck whenever they want to indulge in this Tex-Mex treat.
Another offering that KFC/Taco Bell Saipan launched in August is its Twister Mo wrap. It is named after Ramona Jones, the CEO of Jones & Guerrero, which is the local franchisee of the Saipan branch of KFC/Taco Bell.
Aldan said Twister Mo is a wrap with 100% chicken breast fillet, carrots, and cucumber, and hoisin sauce. The latter is a thick, fragrant sauce commonly used in Chinese cuisine as a glaze for meat. It comes in solo or combo meals.
KFC/Taco Bell Saipan is located at the Town House Shopping Center along Beach Road in Chalan Kanoa. It is open from 8am to 9pm.
