KFAS shuts down Old B Bank

Korean Football Association on Saipan barged into the win column after blanking the Old B Bank, 3-0, in the Division A game in the 2019 Spring Men’s M-League last Sunday at the NMI Soccer Training Center in Koblerville.

Three different players scored for KFAS with Banseok Kim drawing first blood in the 18th minute and Jyun Jun Roh and Hwapyoung Kim finding their targets in the 47th and 75th, respectively.

With the victory, KFAS moved out of the cellar in the team standings, while the Old B Bank remained at the bottom after dropping its third game in as many matches.

All Blue 7, KFAS 0
All Blue is still on top of the rankings in Division A after cruising past KFAS last Thursday.

Kohtaro Goto had a pair of goals for All Blue, which now has a 3-0-0 win-draw-loss record. Goto scored in the 37th and 77th minute. Sebastien Manabat, Taka Borja, Joshua Deloen Guerrero, Skyler Poon, and John Michael Rojas added one goal apiece in All Blue’s lopsided victory.

TanHoldings 4, Paire 3
Behind All Blue is TanHoldings, which improved to a 2-0-1 slate after edging Paire last Sunday.

An own goal in the 88th minute lifted TanHoldings to the close win. Mark Esalan recorded TanHoldings’ three goals, as he lit up the board in the 18th, 20th, and 30th minute.

Paire, on the other hand, drew one goal each from Alan Gudino, Danny Agulto, and Chris Nelson.

DIVISION B
Matansa 4, Shirley’s 3

The lone Division B match last weekend was also decided by only one goal.

Gabriel Arkoh Jr. drilled the game winner in the 75th minute, three minutes after Irish Pagarao made the equalizer for Shirley’s.

Arkoh delivered two goals for Matansa, as he earlier hit the board in the 61st minute, while the team’s two other goals were courtesy of Papal Sikdar and Lar Wongpaya.

Dhiraj Chhetri and Hoin Ryu posted the two other goals for Shirley’s, which remained in second place with its 2-0-2 slate. Matansa is at fourth place after getting its first win of the season following two fruitless attempts.
