KFAS clobbers MP United B

Korean Football Association on Saipan recovered big time from its previous loss after demolishing MP United 2, 10-3, in the second game of the 2011 NMIFA Men’s Fall League last Sunday at the Hopwood Junior High School Field.
KFAS, which dropped its season debut against Inter Godfather’s, 1-5, came out in its second game with a lot of weapons in its arsenal to barge into the win column in Group B. MP United B absorbed its first loss in two games after winning by forfeiture over SKY FC during the fall league opener.
Sung’ Ho Kang fired up KFAS offense with his goal in the 24th minute. Jin Han Yoon also found the back of the net in the first half to even up the scoreboard. Then with only two minutes gone by in the second half, Kang canned his second goal to give KFAS the lead anew.
KFAS went on to score one goal after another, following Kang’s early conversion in the second half. Jin Wook Cho hit back-to-back goals in a span of two minutes (52nd and 54th), while Zhi Quiang An scored six minutes later.
It took KFAS 13 minutes to lit up the scoreboard again, but when it did the goals were made in streaks with Kang scoring in the 73rd and Cho in the 74th and 75th. Kang went on to post his fourth goal in the game in the 80th minute, while Young Ja Hwang gave KFAS its last goal, scoring in the 85th minute.
MP United B answered with only two goals in the second half against KFAS’ eight. Yoon nailed his second goal in the 70th minute, while Seoung Joon Lee scored three minutes before the 90-minute game ended.
SKY FC 5, Matansa 1
In other Group B match, SKY FC also broke into the win column after dropping its first two games.
Guang Lin Li tallied a pair of goals, while Ji Myun Lee, Chong Koo Gil, and Min Jong Choi added one each to snap SKY FC’s losing skid. Only TJ Gurung scored for Matansa, which has yet to win after two games.
Gil put SKY FC in the board with his goal in the 14th minute, while Gurung made the equalizer in the 40th minute. Then three minutes before the first half wrapped up, Li scored his first goal to bring SKY FC back into the driver’s seat.
SKY FC goalkeeper Charlie Jo went on to play steady on defense, shutting out Matansa strikers in the second half, while Lin, Lee, and Choi took care of business on offense.
Wild Bill’s 3, MP United A 1
In the battle of undefeated teams in Group A, Wild Bill’s prevailed over MP United A.
Wild Bill’s now has a 3-0-0 win-draw-loss card, while MP United A fell to a 2-0-1 slate.
Adul Detdon and Jeeraphong Thoensaket scored one goal apiece for Wild Bill’s, which was awarded an own goal off an error from MP United A’s Moon Bin Hong.
Detdon first made it to the scoreboard with his goal in the 17th minute, while the own goal came eight minutes later, giving Wild Bill’s a 2-0 halftime lead.
Thoensaket padded the lead to three, 3-0, when he scored in the 70th minute, while Ho Jin Woo ended MP United A’s long silence with a goal in the 76th minute.
