Kanoa Resort named host hotel of Saipan Sportsfest

Kanoa Resort Saipan has been named the official host hotel of the 2016 Saipan Sportsfest, according to race director Eric Tydingco.
The resort will offer a discounted rate for all athletes and spectators, including $80 plus tax for standard rooms and $95 plus tax for rooms in its Emerald Tower.
“We’d like to extend a huge thank you to Kanoa Resort and look forward to working with them for the upcoming events,” said Tydingco. “Both the local and off- island athletes are so grateful to have the support from local businesses like Kanoa Resort to enhance their Sportsfest experience!”
Saipan Sportsfest includes two events, the Tagaman Triathlon, scheduled for March 5, and the XTERRA Saipan Championship slated for March 12.
“As one of the CNMI’s true sports tourism events with a colorful history of promoting health, sports and teamwork, Kanoa Resort Saipan has taken this great opportunity to become the official host hotel sponsor of the 2016 Saipan Sportsfest,” Kanoa Resort Saipan general manager Wendi Herring said.
“Saipan has welcomed dozens of professional triathletes, even Olympians to our beautiful waters and challenging terrain, along with thousands of amateur competitors from around the globe. We look forward to welcoming the participants and working with our industry partners to ensure an enjoyable, challenging, and successful Sportsfest,” she added.

Meanwhile, the Lamar trail is now open for practice rides for XTERRA Saipan, while registration for both Tagaman and the Crown Jewel of XTERRA Tour is still open.
