Kanoa, NMI U16 still undefeated

Kanoa Football Club and NMI U16 Boys National Team kept their unbeaten records after prevailing against separate foes in the Division B games in the M-League last Sunday at the Oleai Sports Complex Field.
Kanoa bagged its fifth win in as many matches after shutting down Dragon FC, 6-0, in the third game last weekend. NMI U16 had a similar easy victory over Shirley’s FC in the curtain-raiser, 3-0. After blanking their respective foes, Kanoa and NMI U16 (4-1-0 win-draw-loss record) are still occupying the Top 2 spots in the team standings of the six-squad Division B field.
Andruw Omelau and Rodwealth Espana knocked in two goals apiece in Kanoa’s rout of the winless Dragon FC, while Kirt Andon and Christian Buno chipped in one goal each. With its six goals, Kanoa leads the division, as it has collected 31 so far this fall season.
NMI U12 has earned 24 after Anthony Fruit, Joshua Abragan, and Jonah Pohl contributed one each in their win over Shirley’s FC.
Shirley’s FC fell to a 2-1-2 slate for third place ahead of the IFC Thundecats (2-1-3), NMI Women’s (0-1-3), Dragon FC (0-0-5).
DIVISION A
MP United 2, Paire 0
MP United is also undefeated in Division A, notching its fifth straight win after blanking Paire.
Fumikazu Sukenari canned the pair of goals for MP United, which kept the top spot in the division and has gained nine goals this season.
Paire dropped to fourth place with its 1-1-3 card.
TanHoldings 4, Sun Palace 1
Erstwhile leader TanHoldings is close behind MP United at second place following its triumph over Sun Palace.
TanHoldings has a 4-0-1 mark, bringing its goal total so far to a division-best 23 after four different players scored for the team in their win over Sun Palace. Mareko Tekopua and Shingo Suzuki handed TanHoldings goals in the first half, while Joshua Galarion and Alan Hinson logged the other two in the final 40 minutes of play.
Sun Palace, which is at third place with its 2-1-1 card, drew its lone goal from Sue Hee Chung.
KFAS 2, Matansa 1
Korean Football Association on Saipan barged into the win column after edging Matansa in the final game last weekend.
KFAS (1-0-3) drilled its two goals in the second half to foil Matansa’s bid for victory No. 2. Matansa (1-0-5) led at halftime, 1-0, off Dhiraj Chhetri’s goal in the second minute, but failed to hang on to the shaky lead when Min Ki Kim scored the equalizer and Young Ju Lee registered the go-ahead.
