Kanoa-1 vs MPU for U12 title

Kana Football Club-1 and MP United FC won their penultimate games in the 2017 NMIFA Fall Youth League last Saturday, making their duel this weekend highly exciting as the co-ed U12 division championship will be on the line.
Kanoa-1 defeated Paire FC, 4-1, behind the goals of Joe Emil Antonio, Andrew Sablan, Daniel Mar Pablo, and Sean Gil in the first, 11th, 20th, and 38th minute, respectively. Dylan Mister drilled the lone goal for Paire in the 45th minute. With the easy victory, Kanoa-1 retained the top spot in the six-team field as it improved to an 8-0-1 win-draw-loss record.
However, MP United is lurking behind Kanoa-1, as the former gained a 7-1-1mark after downing Matansa FC at the Hopwood Middle School Field, 5-3.
Andrew Chung towed MP United to the important win as he posted a hat-trick. He delivered the three goals in succession, scoring in the 25th, 26th, and 43rd minute. Richard Castro and Garrett Weaver added one goal each to keep MP United in the race for the division championship.
MP United and Kanoa-1 will collide in the title-deciding match at 2pm. Kanoa-1 will need only a draw to secure the championship, while MP United must win this weekend’s game to claim the division crown. Kanoa-1 has a slight edge against MP United going into their crucial second meeting, as the former eked out a 5-4 victory in their first duel this Fall season.
Meanwhile, TanHoldings joined MP United and Kanoa-1 in the win column last Saturday after easing past Kanoa-2, 7-3.
Angelo Pulido starred in TanHoldings’ triumph after scoring three goals, while Anthony Bergancia had a pair, and Ariel Narvaez and Mark Joseph Roque chipped in one apiece.
TanHoldings kept the No. 3 spot in the team standings with its 4-1-4 record, while Kanoa-2 is at the bottom with its 1-0-8 mark. TanHoldings will close out the season against Paire, while Kanoa-2 will play Matansa in its last game.
