Kanoa-1, MP United-1 keep unbeaten records

Kanoa Football Club-1 is still perfect following a close 8-6 triumph over Paire FC in their Division A game in the 2018 Dove Spring Women’s League last Thursday at the TSL Sports Complex’s artificial turf.
Kanoa-1 now has a 3-1-0 win-draw-loss record to stay on top of the five-team division, leading sister team Kanoa-2 (2-1-1), Paire (2-0-2), Shirley’s (1-0-3), and TanHoldings (1-0-3).
Paulynn Joyce towed Kanoa-1 to its third victory after scoring six goals, while Kristelle Itaaas and Sharmaine Francisco contributed one each. Britally Wally had four goals to pace Kanoa, which drew one apiece from Grace Choi and Gillian Villagomez.
With its eight goals, Kanoa-1 has scored 21 this season and given up 17.
In the other game in Division A, Kanoa-2 shut down TanHoldings, 5-0.
Irish Pagarao made two goals, while Jeralyn Castillo, Ruschelle Valino, and Therize Millare chipped in one each, bringing Kanoa-2’s total in four games to 28—the second best so far in the division behind Paire’s 29.
DIVISION B
MP United-1 6, TanHoldings 2
MP United Football Club-1 duplicated Kanoa-1’s perfect mark after easing past TanHoldings last Sunday at the Chacha Oceanview Middle School.
Coume Kaga knocked in four goals to hand MPU-1 its fourth win in as many games and keep her squad in the lead against MY Pros (3-0-1), Paire (2-0-2), MPU-2 (1-1-2), Shirley’s (0-1-2), and TanHoldings (0-0-3).
Kaga drilled three straight goals, scoring in the 18th minute, 29th, and 30th, while her fourth and last came in the 35th. Julia Ishikawa posted the two other goals for MPU-1, as she hit the board in the 32nd and 37th minute. Stephanie Flores and Andrei Kaitlynn Chavez delivered the goals for TanHoldings in the seventh and 39th minute.
Paire 5, Shirley’s 0
Paire got its second win after blanking Shirley’s in the first game in the division last weekend.
Erin Frink and Patricia Coleman made two goals each for the winning squad, while Summer Manahane added one. Frink lit up the board for Paire first with her goal in the fourth minute, while her second came in the 57th. Coleman closed out for Paire, while her first goal was recorded in the 26th minute, eight minutes after Manahane handed the team its second goal.
MY Pros 5, MP United-2 0
My Pros earned its third victory in the season after dominating MPU-2 in the final match of the triple-header.
Natalie Hill powered MY Pros to the shutout win after registering three goals. She posted back-to-back goals in the seventh and 19th minute and completed the hat trick when she found the back of the net anew in the 50th. Frannie Demapan logged the other goal for MY Pros in the 48th minute, while the winning team got an own goal in the 30th.
Meanwhile, in the Masters division, TanHoldings played in the first game against Matansa and then challenged Topnotch in the second match. Matansa and Topnotch closed out the action in the division last weekend.
