Both of Kanoa FC’s girls U13 teams faced off with Kanoa FC 1 blanking Kanoa FC 2, 8-0, in Week 2 of the TakeCare Youth Soccer League Fall 2022 last Saturday at the Northern Marianas Soccer Training Center in Koblerville.

The afternoon sun basked the open soccer field with its radiant glow, shining on the teams’ orange uniforms, with Kanoa FC 1’s orange uniforms covered with a pink top to distinguish the sister teams apart.

Kanoa FC 1’s Aubrey White found the back of the net early on, scoring a goal in the first three minutes of the game. Kanoa FC 2 could not keep up with their sister team, as they ran up and down the field, trying to snag the ball away from them.

Kanoa FC 1 didn’t seem to have any trouble with the ball as Beatrice Gross scored another goal and Faith Arriola, Eliza Culp, and Alejandra Manabat taking turns scoring a goal each.

With the first half over, Kanoa FC 1 gathered six goals and Kanoa FC2, zilch.

Kanoa FC 2 still had time to redeem themselves in the second half but were no match against Kanoa FC 1’s speedy defenders. Almost everyone in Kanoa FC 1’s lineup had a shot at the goal, with one goal made by Hayven Moteisau and one more by White.

The clock winded down and Kanoa FC 2 failed to score a goal, with the final result of 8-0.

Kanoa FC 2 consists of Cali Jade Cabrera, Miana Dela Cruz, Ciana Demapan, Maria Quidato, Malia Rayphand, Aya Santos, Paige Muna, and Lina Tsukagoshi.

Southern United FC-1 6, Tan Holdings FC-1 1
Southern United FC got the better of Tan Holdings FC, 6-1.

Even as Tan Holdings’ Xyriel Pascual drew first blood, neither she nor her teammates could produce any more goals.

This gave way to Southern United’s team to flourish and score six goals, five of which was made by Rosie Jean Saralu, and the one was made by Brianne Echalico.

MP United 2, Tan Holdings 1
MP United FC bested Tan Holdings FC 2 just by a point, 2-1.

Tan Holdings drew first blood but that was all they could muster throughout the game.

MP United’s Addalee Taflinger and Allie Brasuell scored the two goals for the team.

Matansa FC 4,
Paire FC 4,

Mantansa and Paire ended their game in a draw, 4-4.

Both teams scored three of their goals in the first half and their last goal in the second half.

They both could not score anymore as the game reached its final seconds.

Results of Week 2’s boys and girls U16 divisions will be posted in the next editions of Saipan Tribune.
