Asia Pacific Hotel Inc., which operates both the Fiesta Resort &Spa Saipan in Garapan and Kanoa Resort in Susupe, announced yesterday the promotion of Kanani Sablan as the new human resources manager at the Kanoa Resort, effective immediately.

Sablan takes on a new challenge within the group, bringing local knowledge and professionalism to her first role in hospitality management. Sablan joined TanHoldings in June 2012 and worked as HR assistant for the L&T group of companies and Fiesta Resort. She also completed the Management Training Program focusing on Rooms Division at Fiesta. In August 2013, Sablan transferred to Kanoa Resort as HR assistant and was elevated to the position of HR officer in June 2016.

In her new capacity, Sablan will manage the implementation of all human resource management operations including staffing and selection, benefits and compensation programs, policies and procedures and ensuring compliance with all local and federal labor regulations.

Sablan is a graduate of McKay High School in Salem, Oregon, and earned her associate degree in General Studies at Portland Community College. Currently, she is pursuing her bachelor’s degree in Business Management.

Kanoa Resort Saipan is part of Asia Pacific Hotel Inc., under the TanHoldings group of companies. Located on a strip of beach in the heart of Susupe, the Kanoa Resort operates 224 guest rooms, two restaurants, two meeting rooms, a fitness center, pool with two waterslides, adventure zone activities, beach volleyball courts and a retail outlet.
