Kagman High School Junior Varsity is still on top of the team standings in the 2019-2020 Public School System Interscholastic Boys High School Basketball League, while Agape Christian School moved up to fourth.

The Ayuyus notched their ninth win in as many games after nipping Saipan International School, 29-28, last Thursday on the north court at the Marianas High School Gymnasium.

On the south side, Agape dueled KHS Varsity and eased its way through a 22-11 win. Agape improved its record to 6-2, taking away the No. 4 spot in the team standings from SIS.

The Geckos, after the sorry loss to the leading KHS JV, turned their ire on Mt. Carmel School 2 for a 31-14 victory. SIS, however, fell to fifth place in the rankings, as it now holds a 6-3 mark. MCS 2 is at the bottom, as it is still winless in seven games.

In other results last Thursday, Saipan Southern High School was handed an easy victory after Da’Ok Academy forfeited their game on the north court, while MHS Varsity prevailed over MHS 3 on the south court, 32-25.

The Manta Rays kept the No. 3 spot with their 7-1 slate, while MHS Varsity is also at the top half of the team standings with its sixth-best 3-4 card.

MHS Varsity and the Manta Rays will cross path tomorrow when they duel in the first game on the south court. Also schedule on the same court are the KHS Varsity vs. Da’Ok and MCS 2 against Da’Ok games. On the north side, MHS 3 will face Agape in the first game, while MCS Varsity and KHS JV will square off in the second match in the battle of unbeaten teams. MHS JV and KHS 3 will close out the action on the north court.
