June 13 is Free Comic Book Day
Green Flash Comics on Saipan is one of the thousands of comic book shops around the world celebrating the biggest day in the comic book industry and comic art form on June 13, a Saturday. Every year on Free Comic Book Day, over 4.6 million comic books are given away by participating stores, introducing as many people as possible to the wonders of comic books!
“The wide array of comic books being published today ensures that readers of all ages—children, teens, and adults—can find something appropriate that will stir their imaginations” said Glenn Keaton, owner of Green Flash Comics.
Celebrating its 13th year, Free Comic Book Day has proven to be a smashing success, spreading the word that comics are a terrific read.
“Even if you have never picked up a comic book, stop by Green Flash Comics in Garapan, because you never know what you will end up finding,” said Keaton.
“We at Green Flash Comics want to spread the word that comics are perfect for today’s times,” Keaton said. “Comic books, mangas, and graphic novels are considered a hot form of entertainment, that are fun and a smart pick for readers to dive into as imagination comes to life with the turn of every page. Comic books and manga characters have propelled to the front ranks of pop culture, with many of the characters and stories being adapted into blockbuster movies. Free Comic Book Day has been and will continue to be a big day in the comic book world.”
