Juan Pan tops SGA October Ace

Businessman Juan Pan Guerrero topped the Saipan Golfers Association October 2016 Ace of the Month Tournament held last Oct. 2 at the Laolao Bay Golf & Resort west course.
Guerrero shot a 44 in the front and a 45 in the back for a gross of 89. With a handicap of 17, Guerrero netted a 72.
Veteran golfer Nick Sablan actually had the best score of the day after he finished with a net score of 70 after shooting a gross of 75. The 5-handicapper started quite well with a 36 in the front before retiring with a 39 in the back.
Third place went to new SGA member Martin Ada, who scored a net 73 built around a 48 in the front and 45 in the back for a gross of 93. Ada sports a 20 handicap.
With his win in October, Guerrero now joins the following 2016 SGA Ace of the Month tournament winners: Greg Sablan (January), Jung Eun Teack (February), Das Krishnan (March), Edward Manibusan (April), Nick Sablan (May), Tony Deleon Guerrero (June), Rick Kautz (July), Frank Castro (August), and Juan Lizama (September).
In the closest to the pin competition, Nick Sablan won on holes No. 3 and 13, Larry Deleon Guerrero topped hole No. 7, while Attorney General Edward Manibusan was without peer on hole No. 17.
Jung Eun Teack and Das Krishnan were the winners in the longest drive contest.
The SGA November 2016 Ace of the Month Tournament and Turkey Shoot is scheduled this Sunday, Nov. 20, at the Laolao Bay Golf & Resort east course. Tee time is at 10am and show time is at 9am. (Saipan Tribune)
