JTB Publishing preparing new Saipan guidebook
A photographer and writer from Japan’s JTB Publishing were in the Marianas recently to gather updated information and images for a new Saipan guidebook to be published in March 2020.
RurubuSaipan targets men and women of all age who are interested in traveling to the Marianas. Over 20,000 copies will be printed, bringing the destination nearly half a million dollars in ad exposure.
“RurubuSaipan will provide all kinds of information helpful for travel to The Marianas, including details on hotels, optional tours, activities, beaches, gourmet, shopping, and more,” said Marianas Visitors Authority managing director Priscilla M. Iakopo. “This guidebook will be a tremendous resource for our Japanese visitors to make the most of their time in our islands.”
Eateries visited include Ete Café, 670 Café, Cha, The Shack, Oleai Beach Bar & Grill, Winchell’s, The Airstream, Surf Club, Johnny’s Bar, Godfather’s, Coco Restaurant, IHOP, Ina’s Kitchen, Loco Taco, Tasty Burger, Mango Six, Salty’s, Shirley’s Coffee Shop, and Herman’s Modern Bakery. Other sites visited including T-Galleria by DFS, Garapan Street Market, ABC Store, Joeten Hafadai Shopping Center, Sabalu Market, Marianas Creations, Aqua Resort Club, Kensington Hotel Saipan, I Love Saipan, and Grandvrio Resort Saipan. Scenic and historic sites visited including Sugar King Park, Micro Beach, downtown Garapan, and Capital Hill. (PR)
