ASAN, Guam—Joint Region Marianas has updated its COVID-19 mask mandate policy applicable to all Department of Defense installations in Guam, and is no longer requiring that masks be worn on base by military and civilian personnel and visitors who are fully vaccinated.

The updated mask policy takes effect immediately.

“In light of improving public health conditions, fully vaccinated individuals are not required to wear masks on base,” said JRM Commander Rear Adm. Benjamin Nicholson. “The use of masks remains mandatory for individuals who are not fully vaccinated or who are unable to be fully vaccinated.” (PR)
