ASAN, Guam—Joint Region Marianas military installations are finalizing plans to resume limited services on base, adjust on-base restrictions for service members, civilians and families, and provide modified access for eligible patrons early next week.

Although the Indo-Pacific remains in Health Protection Condition C, we expect to methodically open up a greater amount of installation services and activities to patrons because of the individual and collective efforts to follow preventative measures, such as face coverings, social distancing, and frequent handwashing.

While additional services will open up, we will continue to maintain the COVID-19 mitigation measures that have controlled the spread of the virus and enabled us to preserve mission readiness.

Protection of our total workforce remains the priority as we return to full functionality. All facilities and services that reopen will still need to adhere to social distancing guidelines and other procedures to help ensure the well-being of all patrons.

Should the region experience an increase in COVID-19 cases, we will evaluate the need to revert to more restrictive policies in order to preserve mission readiness.
