JP Glow Run this Friday

TanHoldings will be hosting the 10th Annual JP Glow Run this Friday, Feb. 2, in celebration of the life of John Pangelinan, Saipan Tribune’s former publisher.

Early registration is $10 and will be raised to $15 on the day of the event. The registration fee includes a free T-shirt (while supplies last) and a raffle ticket for the chance to win a roundtrip ticket to Hong Kong. This will be the 10th year that TanHoldings has been hosting this event

The run does not only celebrate the life of Pangelinan, who lost the battle against cancer, but also raises cancer awareness and funds that would go to the 2018 Marianas March Against Cancer on behalf of TanHoldings.

According to a previous article, the JP Glow Run used to be exclusive only for Saipan Tribune staff, TanHoldings employees, and Pangelinan’s family. However, organizers have expanded it to the community, not only to honor Pangelinan but also to promote a healthier lifestyle.

The JP Glow Run is a 5-kilometer run where individuals can choose to compete for a finalist medal or just enjoy the walk with their loved ones.

The JP Glow Run will start at 6pm. Pick up registration forms at the JP Center Bldg. along Beach Road in Garapan or register at the site starting at 5pm.

Pangelinan was born on Oct. 26, 1937, and died on Feb. 5, 2008.
