Joeten Motors donated a gift certificate worth $500 to the Operation Homefront Support 2014 last week.

Operation Homefront organizer Nola Hix said they are thankful to Joeten for contributing once again for this year’s care packages that will be sent to more than 200 military reservists and active service members.

“The $500 gift certificate that we received will be used for purchasing whatever we are lacking for the care packages such as NMI flags and rice crackers,” Hix said.

Hix said that so far they have 230 addresses. The last day for sending in address to Operation Homefront is tomorrow, Wednesday.

The care packages will be put together on Dec. 6 at the Pedro P. Tenorio Multi-Purpose Center in Susupe, from 8am to 10am.

“All interested donors are encouraged to give me a call as no donation is too little or too small…and we look forward to sending out all the packages just in time for the holidays,” Hix said.

Contact Hix at 989-6552 or email her at nola.hix@gmail.com.
