Joeten foundation donates to the Salvation Army

Wrapping up its donations last week, the Joeten Daidai Foundation gave an in-kind donation worth $10,000 to the CNMI Salvation Army for Super Typhoon Yutu relief efforts.
“The Salvation Army plays such a remarkable role in feeding the masses and we are pleased to assist them in their mission,” said foundation director Patty T. Palacios during the turnover at the Joeten Susupe executive conference room. “While the foundation is unable to donate to every organization in the CNMI, we turn to these nonprofits, such as the Salvation Army, Karidat, and the American Red Cross, because of their compassion and willingness to serve our people, especially during times of crisis.”
Maj. Kimberly Stambaugh, Salvation Army officer, said: “With this donation, it continues the effort to feed the community; and I know that it’s going to be a long time. I’m sure more people will come to receive a warm meal while they’re recovering and fixing their own places. So we’re going to be there, staying strong and continuing to be able to help those that come to us.”
Established in 1994, the Joeten Daidai Foundation has continually fulfilled its mission in giving back to the community by promoting the advancement of education, religion, science, and charitable deeds. (PR)
