JKPL ukulele lessons start Feb. 15

Regular ukulele lessons for both beginner and intermediate classes will start next Wednesday, Feb. 15, at the Joeten-Kiyu Public Library; the classes will be instructed by Larry Lee.

Coordinator Celina C. Foreman said beginner and intermediate classes would be held every Wednesday from 4pm to 5pm at JKPL’s Children of our Homeland Library.

Classes are open to children at least 8 years old as well as adults. Cost for the lessons is $50 for all eight hours of instruction.

Students must provide their own ukuleles and a folder to hold sheet music. Plastic sheet protectors and a three-ring binder are recommended,.

Parents and guardians also need to secure a liability waiver form on behalf of their participating children and must adhere to JKPL policies and procedures.

JKPL’s ukulele classes have a minimum enrollment of 15 students and maximum enrollment of 40.
