JKPL summer program launched with theme ‘Every Hero Has a Story’
The Joeten-Kiyu Public Library, the CNMI’s state library, will be having a summer library program with the theme “Every Hero Has a Story.”
The 2015 Collaborative Summer Library Program will focus on everyday heroes in the community.
“Readers of all ages will explore and learn about community heroes such as firefighters, police officers, teachers, and park rangers this summer,” associate librarian Erlinda Naputi said.
Program activities will include Reading with Rangers, read aloud, group games, physical challenges, art projects, science and engineering experiments, independent reading challenge and special guest readers.
The program is open to children ages 6 to12.
Registration for “Every Hero Has a Story” begins on Saturday, June 13, and lasts until June 19.
Registration is required as seats are limited and a child who wants to join must have a valid JKPL card with no pending fees and fines.
