JKPL marks 27 years with holiday activities

The Joeten-Kiyu Public Library turned 27 years old yesterday, Dec. 19. In honor of the occasion, the library’s staff and management have lined up many exciting activities. Be sure to check them out.

Children’s Library:
• Library Trivia: Tuesday-Saturday, 9:30am-4:30pm
• Pop Star Tattoos: Tuesday-Friday, 9:30am-4:30pm
• Movie Day: The Princess Switch, PG, Wednesday at 10am and 1pm
• Movie Day: How the Grinch Stole Christmas, PG, Thursday at 10am and 1pm
• Joeten-Kiyu Public Library Birthday Card: Tuesday-Friday, 9:30am-4:30pm
• Bead bracelet craft: Tuesday-Friday, 9:30am-4:30pm; for ages 6-12 only

Main lobby
• Free gift-wrapping station: all week. Limit of two gifts per person: must have a library card clear of fines. While supplies last.
• Cookie decorating contest: Tuesday, 3:30pm-4:30pm. Open to all ages: children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult. Sign up in the library as a team (two people) or individually!
• DIY card making station: all week. Open to all ages: children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
• Hot chocolate bar: Friday, starting at 9am. LIMIT 1 cup per person: must have a library card clear of fines. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. While supplies last.
• Movie Day: Christmas with the Kranks, PG, Saturday at 12:30pm. Free popcorn for movie-watchers!
• In addition, special presentations will be happening at the library to promote literacy: be sure to stop by and see what they have to offer! (PR)
