JKPL lines up March activities
The Joeten-Kiyu Public Library has lined up a series of activities this month that includes ukulele classes, read-aloud events, computer learning classes, movie days, arts and crafts, fitness classes, tech classes, AmeriCorps classes, etc.
All classes will take place at the library’s Susupe site and are all free except for some.
The library also expects to hold ribbon-cutting ceremonies for a saltwater aquarium and a community garden.
For the beginner and intermediate ukulele classes, they started last Wednesday, March 1, 2017. A $50 registration was required. For more information, contact (670) 235-7315.
The Toddler Read Aloud starts today, Friday, March 3, starting at 10:30am, at the library’s Children of Our Homeland Center. For more information, contact (670) 235-7315.

The Basic Computer Learning classes will start on Saturday, March 4, 2017, at 10am, at the library’s Information Technology Center. For more information, contact (670) 235-7329.
This Saturday, March 4, 2017, is Family Movie Day with Dr. Seuss, starting at 1pm, at the Children of Our Homeland Center. For more information, contact (670) 235-7315.

There will be a basic computer learning class for the man’amko on Wednesday, March 8, 2017, from 10am to 11am, which will be at the Information Technology Center. For more information, contact (670) 235-7329
There will be a film screening of Almost Sunrise that will be sponsored by the Northern Marianas Humanities Council on March 18, 2017, starting at 10:30am at the video teleconference room.
The library will have an Adopt-A-Highway Trash Pickup on Saturday, March 18, 2017, starting at 4pm. For more information, contact (670) 235-7315.

The Friends of the Joeten-Kiyu Public Library also holds daily book sales during which they also sell CDs and DVDs.
