The House Judiciary and Governmental Operations Committee will resume this Monday its hearing into Gov. Ralph DLG Torres’ travels and expenses, with Bureau of Motor Vehicle director Juana Leon Guerrero being called to testify at the House chamber at 1pm.

JGO chair Rep. Celina R. Babauta (D-Saipan) said in an interview that Leon Guerrero will appear with her counsel, Anthony Aguon.

Babauta said they will also approve at Monday’s session more subpoenas for other witnesses to testify. She did not elaborate.

Last Wednesday’s JGO hearing was postponed due to the passing of Rep. Ivan James Blanco.

The last JGO hearing into Torres’ travels and expenses was on June 20 when special assistant for administration Mathilda A. Rosario completed her testimony.

Leon Guerrero is among seven DPS officials/police officers that the JGO had subpoenaed to appear and testify.

The six others are police officer Adrian Mendiola of the Boating Safety Unit, police officers Simon Manacop, Jose Saures, Daniel Joab, Alex Sakisat, and Joey Cruz, who is the personal driver/security detail of Torres.

The JGO has also summoned three others—Erin Camacho of the Women, Infants, and Children Program; former Finance Secretary Larrisa Larson, and Finance Secretary David DLG Atalig.
