Jets thankful for support in fundraiser
Jets manager Froilan Camacho Jr. would like to thank all the supporters of their two fundraising events at the Capital Hill Ballfield.
The Jets, who held two softball tournaments, are fundraising to come up with the money that would support their campaign in the upcoming Saipan Baseball League season set on Jan. 12 at the Francisco M. “Tan Ko” Palacios Ballfield.
A total of 15 teams joined the weekend tournament on Oct. 10 to 12 and Dec. 12 to 14.
Team Akkari, which also topped a similar fundraising event for the Sta. Lourdes fiesta in September, won the October games, while Team Familia ruled this month’s tournament.
Team Jada, Team Vinnie, Team Unknown, Team Jets, Team G4, Man Gachung and Team Pinigan competed in October, while Team Jets, Team Cornboys, Jets Manhoben and Team Things-Berdax joined last weekend’s contest.
Camacho also acknowledged the support of representative-elect Ed Villagomez, the fans who watched and supported their respective teams, and all the sponsors that helped them hold both tournaments.
Joeten, All Star Sporting Goods, Fishing Tackle and Sportings Goods, Tan Siu Lin Foundation, Pacific Islands Club, Kanoa Resort, Fiesta Resort & Spa, J’s Resturant, Marpac, Pacific Trading Co., Joeten Superstore, Twins Supermarket, Kevin’s Mart, Kulan Zamu, Fotten Gaga were the other sponsors of the two tournaments and provided raffle prizes.
