Japanese papers to feature NMI sports

Four Japanese newspapers will feature articles on sports activities in Saipan following an upcoming media FAM this month by Nishinihon Sports.

The daily sports newspapers circulates 1.5 million copies via subscription and newsstands, targeting males in their 30s to 60s. The paper will also conduct shooting on behalf of three affiliated newspapers, Daily Sports, Chunichi Sports, and Tokyo Chunichi Sports.

“We’re looking forward to Nishinihon’s sports tour this week,” said Marianas Visitor Authority Marketing manager Bruce Bateman. “This is another opportunity for us to highlight the sports tourism appeal of the Northern Marianas to potential visitors from Japan.”

The newspaper writer and cameraman are scheduled to visit Managaha, Kingfisher Golf Links, an ATV tour with Marianas Trekking, PauPau Beach and Saipan Beach Pathway, along with other scenic sites and activities in Saipan.

The MVA organizes several sporting events each year to attract visitors, including the Saipan Marathon, Hell of the Marianas, and several triathlons.

The Northern Mariana Islands of Saipan, Tinian, and Rota are a chain of idyllic islands in the West Pacific, offering a friendly, fun and exciting vacation in paradise. They are an excellent destination for families, adventure and sports-minded travelers, as well as business people looking for a tropical haven.

From Korea, Asiana provides directdailyflights from Seoul and Busan and Jeju Air provides daily service from Seoul. From China, direct flight service from Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou,to Saipan is available. United Airlines has daily flight connections from nine cities in Japan to Saipan with one stop.United States mainland connections can be made by Delta Air Lines to Saipan via Tokyo Narita, and United Airlines via Guam.Russian and Taiwanese visitors usually arrive via Seoul.
