The Saipan Mayor’s Office is now accepting applications from students who would like to participate in a cultural exchange and homestay program in Japan, according to program coordinator Joann T. Aquino.

She said that the students from Kokusai Seiyounen Kensyuu Kyokai or KSKK group is inviting 15 CNMI students and two chaperones to visit them in Japan.

The trip will be on Oct. 9 to 15 and is open to students aged 8 to 14.

Aquino said the students will have to pay for the trip and that the price has not been decided yet.

“I will be coming up with the price quotes from the airlines and we’ll be notifying them soon on the airline fees,” she said.

Aquino said the students will be visiting the Sensouji Temple, Ueno Zoo, stay with host families for three days, and then go to the Tokyo Disneyland, which will cost $65 for entrance.
