Xerox Corp. and IT&E are once again sponsors of this year’s Marianas March Against Cancer, the signature fundraising event of the Commonwealth Cancer Association.
IT&E donated $5,000 worth of services and raffle prizes, making it a title sponsor, while Xerox donated $1,000 as a major sponsor.
The 2014 MMAC overall committee chair Manny Borja said the MMAC is glad to have both companies back sponsoring the 2014 MMAC.
“This is Xerox’s second time sponsoring. Last year they were a major sponsor, and they are returning as major sponsors again. Their sponsorship is to help put on the survivors’ recognition ceremony and MMAC is glad to have them onboard again,” Borja said.
Nola Hix of Xerox Corp. said they are proud to once again support this annual event. “We encourage the community to join arms as we launch oral cancer awareness with our roadside waving scheduled for this month. If you want to do your part, ’Living a Healthy Life is a Start.’”
Hix also said that they would continue to help in the fight against cancer and remember those that have battled cancer.
IT&E’s donation included gift certificates, an Android phone, and one-year free landline services for the CCA and gift cards to help defray the cost of phone usage.
This year’s MMAC title sponsors are Bank of Guam, Delta Air Lines, DFS Saipan, Ltd., GPPC, Island Apparel, IT&E, Joeten Daidai Foundation, Marianas Variety, Sorensen Media Group, and Take Care/FHP. Its major sponsors are Brabu Pharmacy, Docomo Pacific, First Hawaiian Bank, IP&E, McDonald’s of Saipan, Precision Medical Imaging, Saipan Mayor’s Office, Traders Insurance Co., Hyatt Regency Saipan, and Xerox Corp.
The 2014 MMAC will be held on May 2 and May 3, 2014, from 6pm to 6am at the Hopwood Junior High School field in Chalan Piao.
